Time to get the dog out? Check out Nozomi Park, location of one of our beautiful City's Dog Parks. These parks offer unique amenities designed just for dogs, including several training obstacles that the Police Department purchased through a grant. The obstacles include a see-saw, balance beam, tunnel, hurdles, and a large A-frame. Other amenities include benches for us humans, pooper-scoopers to pick up after Fido and his friends, doggy drinking fountains, a fake fire hydrant (at Snedigar Dog Park only), and plenty of parking. The parks are surrounded by 6-foot high chain link fences with one main entrance so dogs can’t escape unleashed.
The Dog Parks are open to the public daily from 6:30 a.m. to 10:30 p.m., except when they are closed for routine maintenance or reserved for city sponsored programs such as dog obedience classes and Police K-9 training.
