In addition to a playground and splash pads, the park features a one-third-scale locomotive that loops around the park. After a ride in one of its open-top cars, ride a 1950s-era carousel, stroll around the lake, enjoy a picnic or a reflective moment in the Hummingbird Habitat.

Enjoy an afternoon of shopping at one of Chandler’s largest outdoor shopping malls. The Shoppes at Casa Paloma hosts local fashion and home décor boutiques, national favorites, and number of eateries in an upscale center along the western side of I-10 at Ray Road.

Plan a visit to the breathtaking Desert Botanical Garden in Phoenix. Whether you are looking for a stroller-friendly day with the family, or a place to enjoy the outdoors – the garden, located in Phoenix, is a short drive from West Chandler and home to thousands of species of cactus and flora from around the world.

Located by the garden, is another great outdoor attraction not to be missed, The Phoenix Zoo, the nation’s largest, privately owned non-profit zoo. The zoo offers fun activities year-round including animal encounters and experiences and seasonal events including their beloved ZooLights which brings millions of twinkling lights, animal lanterns and music for a memorable holiday event from November to early January.
