Papago Park

Located minutes from Chandler near The Phoenix Zoo and Desert Botanical Garden, The trails in Papago Park are typically very smooth with minimal elevation gain, providing fast and easy access for hiking , walking and running. The park itself is split into east and west sides by Galvin Parkway. On the west side is the 2.3 mile Double Butte loop and on the east-side there is an interpretive trail highlight local flora and fauna along with a short hike to the famous picture op, Hole-in-the-Rock. Generally speaking, gated roadways are open sunrise to sunset, but the trails are open till 11 p.m.
