Chandler restaurants are putting proof in the saying, “Necessity is the mother of invention.” Well, perhaps “reinvention” these days. While still offering delicious dishes (for takeout or delivery, of course), some local spots have gone from neighborhood café to corner market by offering grocery items and household essentials. Here are a few restaurants that can help you put dinner on the table and stock your pantry.
U.S. Egg Breakfast and Lunch
Family-owned and -operated, U.S. Egg has been a Valley staple for 30 years. Continuing its commitment to the community, the restaurant is now offering market essentials that can be purchased with carry-out orders. Food and drink offerings include bulk ground Angus beef, honey-cured bacon, eggs, milk, juices and breads. Cleaning supplies are also available, including toilet paper, bleach and vinyl gloves (limit one each per customer). Regular menu items are available for takeout, from traditional breakfasts and specialty dishes, to burgers, sandwiches and salads.
