Carolina's Mexican Food

While Carolina's may be best known for having amazing, and HUGE, fresh tortillas - they also serve up a wide selection of traditional-style Mexican food. Closed on Sundays, the Chandler restaurant features tamales by the platter with two options, red beef or green corn. Carolina's tamale platters come with 30 tamales, start around $85 and require a minimum of 24-hours advance notice.

Elmer's Tacos

Just north of Downtown Chandler is a family-owned and operated restaurant, Elmer's Tacos which opened in Chandler in 1974. The Chandler Mexican restaurant has been serving great, authentic Mexican food for generations. Every year, Chandler residents and visitors can hardly wait for the holiday season to place their order for their pork tamales. For the 2025 holiday season, Elmer's offers two options for purchase, red chili or elote (corn) tamales. The tamales are $30.00/dozen and Elmer's offers many additional platters to complement your meal, including the Chip 'n' Dip Pack - featuring house-made chips and your choice of three dips. Tamale orders should be placed at least 48-hours in advance.

La Ristra New Mexican Kitchen

Located in Downtown Chandler, La Ristra brings its classic, New Mexican cuisine to Chandler featuring New Mexican Chile harvested from the Hatch Valley farms of New Mexico.  Diners can enjoy a tamale any time of year as an entree, but during the holiday season, the family-owned restaurant offers their scratch-made tamales by the dozen. They're rolled, filled, folded, steamed, frozen, and ready for pick-up. Choose from their red chile beef or green chile corn for $35/dozen or mix it up and order half of each.
