Chandler Farmers Market

Details: Calling all Farmers Market lovers! The Chandler Farmers Market runs every Thursday in Downtown Chandler through May. The market offers a selection of fresh produce, bread, tamales, and other delicious treats! Arts, crafts, and jewelry are also items sold as part of the market. 

Mic Drop MANIA

Date: Fridays and Saturdays, year-round
Time: 7:00 p.m. (Family-Friendly) and 9:00 p.m. (Unfiltered)
Location: 250 S. Arizona Avenue
Admission: $10 + service fees
Details: Get ready for a night of laughs at the Mic Drop MANIA comedy shows. Located in Downtown Chandler, Mic Drop MANIA offers fast-paced, live comedy shows based on audience participation. The comedy troupe puts on hilarious shows based on suggestions from the audience and last approximately 1 hour. Two shows are offered every Friday and Saturday nights. The 7:00 p.m. show is family-friendly, while the 9:00 p.m. show is an unfiltered show for adults.

Chandler Family Bird Walk

Details: Gather up the kids and head out for a beautiful Saturday morning outing, the Chandler Family Birdwalk! The guided bird walks are held every Saturday of the month, through April, at the Veterans Oasis Park and Chandler Nature Center. Enjoy walking around the water recharge ponds, with walks departing every 15 minutes, and lasting approximately 45 minutes. This is a fun family activity for all ages! 

Downtown Chandler Walking Tour

Date: February 6, 2016
Time: 10:30 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
Location: San Marcos Hotel Courtyard, 1 N. San Marcos Drive
Admission: Free
Details: Enjoy walks outside? Interested in learning about the history of Chandler? Then head out to the Downtown Walking Tour led by the Chandler Museum staff! This tour is titled Walking Tour: Diversions in Downtown Chandler. Participants will be led in an engaging walking tour of Downtown Chandler, highlighting the historic square and the many entertainment options and amenities that have been offered for the last 100+ years. The walking tour will last over an hour and will not include seating along the route.  

The Wellington International Ukulele Orchestra

Date: Saturday, February 6, 2016

Location: Chandler Center for the Arts, 250 N. Arizona Avenue

Details: Looking for a Saturday night out on the town? Then check out The Wellington International Ukulele Orchestra at the Chandler Center for the Arts. Expect tight harmonies and high-octane ukulele solos in enchanting and often times hilarious, versions of modern and traditional tunes. The Wellington International Ukulele Orchestra has played crowds at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival and sold out crowd at the Union Chapel in London to rave reviews. This concert experience is sure to be a jam-packed party from start to finish.

Sonoran Sunset Concert

Date: Thursday, February 18, 2016
Time: 6-7 p.m.
Location: Veterans Oasis Park
4050 E. Chandler Heights Rd (NE Corner of Chandler Heights and Lindsay Road)
Admission: Free
Details: Enjoy an evening of lakeside music at Veterans Oasis Park for the February Sonoran Sunset Concert. The concert takes place at the lakeside amphitheater and is great entertainment for all ages. The event will be held rain or shine, but in the case of inclement weather, the performance would be moved indoors to the Chandler Nature Center located onsite at the park.

The February concert will feature Arizona's premier variety band, The Real Thing Band.

Downtown Chandler Art Walk - A Night of Art & Science

Date: Friday, February 19, 2016
Location: Dr. AJ Chandler Park, Downtown Chandler
Admission: Free
Details: The Downtown Chandler Art Walk is held from 6-10:00 p.m., the 3rd Friday of every month from September through July and February's Art Walk is a special event as art and science collide at Downtown Chandler's annual Night of Art & Science. The event will feature local artisans from the Chandler Art Walks, as well as information and displays about 3D printing, robots, interesting air pressure demonstrations, a large-scale space inspired street art mural, and much more! 

Chandler Science Spectacular: Science Saturday

Date: Saturday, February 20, 2016
Time: 10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
Location: Downtown Chandler, along Commonwealth Avenue
Admission: Free
Details: The annual Chandler SciTech Festival takes place in February with the main event, the Chandler Science Spectacular: Science Saturday being held in Downtown Chandler. This free event is filled with entertaining yet educational activities, fun for the whole family! The yearly event features interactive demonstrations by Chandler's technology companies, as well as ASU, UofA, and TechShop at the Chandler Innovation Center. Included among the many fun activities are: learn about crime scenes and fingerprinting, see how Northrop Grumman puts rockets into space with a hands on rocket-launch demo, foam block building activities and travel through the solar system with a game truck spaceship!

Star Party at Veterans Oasis Park

Date: Saturday, February 20, 2016

Location: Veterans Oasis Park and Environmental Education Center, 4050 E. Chandler Heights Road

Details: Held in conjunction with the East Valley Astronomy Club, the Annual Star Party at Veterans Oasis Park will have you reaching for the stars! Featuring a number of telescopes set up for visitors to explore Arizona's night sky with views focusing on the moon, planets, double stars, nebulae, star clusters and the like. 

Visitors are invited to come early and enjoy a self-guided tour of Chandler's Solar System Walk - a permanent installation at Veterans Oasis Park. The self-guided walk utilizes a 2,500-foot path, where visitors may navigate their way around the lake along a series of monuments and signs representing the sun, planets and primary celestial objects - all placed at distances relative to the scale of the solar system. Each foot on the walk represents 1.5 million miles, which means that the distance from the sun to Earth is 62 feet along the walk - equivalent to the actual 93 million miles between the two in space.

The signs provide detailed information about the planets and references to ancient cultures who studied the skies, mythology, the asteroid belt, dwarf planets, and comets. The self-guided tour is perfect for budding astronomers!

Lee Ann Womack

Details: Grammy-nominated country music star Lee Ann Womack is visiting Chandler! Check her out at the Chandler Center for the Arts. Known for hits "I Hope You Dance" and "The Way I'm Livin'", the 6-time Country Music Award winner is sure to put on a great show for spectators. 

Chandler Classic Car & Hot Rod Show

Date: Saturday, February 27, 2016
Time: 10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
Location: Downtown Chandler
Admission: Free
Details: Rev your engines and get ready for the 13th annual Chandler Classic Car & Hot Rod Show featuring over 240 registered vehicles! The event highlights pre-1980's classic cars & hot rods all on display with a food court, Beer Garden featuring local bands and a marketplace brimming with arts and crafts from local artisans. The event takes place in Downtown Chandler and benefits local charities.
