Whether you are a Chandler resident who is looking for a unique holiday experience for visiting family or you are planning to take advantage of the beautiful Arizona weather over the holiday season, we recommend you include the Chandler Center for the Arts in your plans.
In November, Chandler Center for the Arts hosts Ballet Etudes and its presentation of The Nutcracker. This magical holiday mainstay, written by Tchaikovsky, is certain to get everyone in the mood for holiday cheer. It is the 31st year of Ballet Etudes’ telling of a family classic, making it a local tradition. Costumes and sets transport attendees to Clara’s dream world filled with fairies, a mouse kind and her nutcracker hero. Shows are on the weekend, Friday, November 24, through Sunday, November 26, and Friday, December 1, through Sunday, December 3, with evening and matinee tickets at one of the Valley’s best cultural venues. Tickets are $25 and $29.
In December, the holiday spirit continues with three special shows. Spirit of Christmas celebrates its 30th anniversary on stage, transforming the Chandler Center for the Arts into a holiday wonderland, complete with Santa Claus. This extraordinary show has a cast of more than 100 dancers, singers, and guest performers, including World Champion Hoop Dancer Tony Duncan. There is even a horse drawn carriage in the show! Shows are on the weekend, Saturday, December 9, through Sunday, December 10, and Saturday, December 16, through Sunday, December 17, with evening and matinee times. Tickets are $30.
