Rawhide Western Town & Steakhouse

Chandler Western Fun

Arizona was the heart of the Wild West, and you can experience your own western adventure right here in Chandler, AZ!

Rawhide Western Town and Event Center creates a fun look at the past for kids. The 1880s-style steakhouse and saloon features authentic western-style food including steaks, burgers and fries. And kids can hop on the 1880s-style Butterfield stagecoach, ride burros, board a train, and watch the Rawhide Roughriders' stunt show.  The western town is open to the public during the town's scheduled festivals and events.

Each November the Chandler Chuck Wagon Cook-Off comes to town. This unique culinary competition combines the tastes, smells, and sounds of the Old West. Teams work from authentic 1880-style chuck wagons to cook five courses: bread, beans, meat, potatoes, and dessert. Judges decide winners for the Chuck Wagon Cook-Off in each category, as well as best authentic wagon and best overall meal.

Often, when people think of western fun and adventure - a horseback ride is often one of the first things that comes to mind.  Next to Chandler, in the Wild Horse Pass development on the Gila River Indian Reservation - horseback riding trails abound.  First time and experienced riders will enjoy the incredible, Arizona scenery with their qualified guided escorts and trained horses with a visit to the Koli Equestrian Center.  Rides are available for those 6 and older, year-round, seven days a week and vary between 60 and 90 minutes depending on the time of year.
