On the House Free Summer Concert Series at Chandler Center for the Arts

Once again the Chandler Center for the Arts is hosting its free summer concert series, On the House, presented by Intel.
This summer series requires no tickets and all of the shows are free to the public to attend. Last year’s series saw full houses at every performance with the excellent entertainment being the draw for attendees. There are five concerts in the series, one every week, starting July 29th.
The series kicks off with Jarabe Mexicano at 7:30 p.m.on July 29th. They are an ensemble from Mexico, performing music from a vast Latin repertoire that includes traditional music like, Boleros and Rancheras, as well as contemporary Cumbia, Reggae, Doo Wop and American Standards.
On August 5, 7:30 p.m., The Music of Motown, starring Joe Bourne with his eight-piece band will take audiences back to the 1960s with timeless Motown hits by Smokey Robinson, The Supremes, Marvin Gaye, Stevie Wonder and many more.
On August 14, 3 p.m., U.S. Navy Band Cruisers, the Navy’s premier contemporary entertainment ensemble, will play a range of music genres, from jazz to classic rock, blues to pop, delighting audiences of all ages.
Back by popular demand,Tres Guitarras will heat up the stage on August 19, 7:30 p.m., combining the intimacy of a solo concert with the excitement of improvised musical fusion, including Flamenco, Blues and Jazz. They are an act that guitar fans will not want to miss.
The series will wrap up on August 26, 7:30 p.m., with Cisco & The Racecars. This young exciting band is one to watch with a full range of instruments including banjo, guitar, mandolin, bass, fiddle, cello and super vocals performing bluegrass, pop, country and old-time music.
