This year, the nation’s top collegiate basketball teams will face off in the NCAA Division I Men’s Basketball Championship on March 31 through April 4 at the State Farm Stadium—just 45 minutes from Downtown Chandler.

Whether you’re a diehard fan who couldn’t get tickets to the Final Four or someone caught up in the March Madness games leading up to the national championship, Chandler has plenty of places to cheer on your favorite team.

SanTan Brewing Company

8 S. San Marcos Place
Chandler, AZ 85225
(480) 917-8700

No matter where you sit, there’ll be a TV in your line of view at SanTan Brewing Company, one of the most popular microbreweries in the state, but for the best experience, try to score an inside or outside seat at the bar. If you plan to make an evening of it, order an award-winning beer—Mr. Pineapple won a silver medal at the 2016 World Beer Cup and HopShock IPA won a gold medal at the 2015 US Open Beer Championship—to wash down the tasty sliders, wings, pizza, and other pub fare you’ll want to nosh on while enjoying the game.

Cold Beer and Cheeseburgers

1980 W. Germann Road
Chandler, AZ 85286
(480) 899-2007

The Chandler location of this Valley chain serves 20 signature burgers (plus a build-your-own option) and has 150 beers on tap, in bottle, or in a can, but the real reason to come here during March Madness and the Final Four is for HearTV. Not only can you watch basketball on one of the restaurant’s 30 HD flat screen TVs, but after downloading the HearTV app to your cell phone, you’ll be able to hear it, too.  Need another reason to come? Cold Beer and Cheeseburgers has a gluten free menu, including gluten free beer options.

The Hungry Monk

1706 W. Chandler Blvd.
Chandler, AZ 85224
(480) 963-8000

Looking for a neighborhood sports bar? On game days, The Hungry Monk is packed with enthusiastic fans who come for the wings and selection of almost 50 beers (27 on draft, 20 in bottles). The best seats are at the bar where you can watch the action on the large screen hanging there. When you get the munchies, try an order of beer-battered jalapenos or deep fried pickles and a beer from SanTan Brewing Company or Four Peaks Brewery in nearby Tempe. Check Facebook before you go for game day specials on beer and specific menu items.

Sandbar Mexican Grill

7200 W. Ray Road
Chandler, AZ 85226
(480) 961-1700

Sandbar Mexican Grill puts a south-of-the-border twist on the typical sports bar atmosphere with sand on its patio, brightly-colored chairs throughout, and frozen margaritas and ice cold cerveza on nearly every table. To make the game even more memorable, you can reserve one of four VIP patio cabanas ahead of time. If the cabanas are already booked, don’t worry. You can watch the game on any one of the 35 flat screen HD TVs mounted to the walls around the restaurant and bar as you chow down on classic Mexican entrées like tacos and burritos.

Jolie’s Place

140 W. Warner Road
Chandler, AZ 85225
(480) 786-0436

This neighborhood restaurant is known for its live music Wednesday through Saturday and fresh, made-to-order burgers, dry rub wings, onion rings and more. But, when it’s game time, patrons come wearing their favorite team’s jerseys and turn their attention to the TVs found throughout the establishment. After the game, plan to celebrate a win with a drink on the patio—Jolie’s Place is open every day until 2 a.m.

Majerle’s Sports Grill

3095 W. Chandler Blvd.
Chandler, AZ 85226
(480) 899-7999

A fan favorite when he played for the Phoenix Suns in the early 1990s, Dan Majerle saw a need for good food in Downtown Phoenix and opened Majerle’s Sports Grill in 1992 near Talking Stick Resort Arena. He opened a second location at Chandler Fashion Center in 2007. All Majerle’s Sports Grill locations feature upscale bar food (look for a tiny basketball on the menu to denote items featured on the Food Network) and roughly 30 HD TVs with sports viewing packages. The Chandler location hosts an annual March Madness Party. Visit Facebook for more details.

Zipps Sports Grill

4060 S. Arizona Avenue
Chandler, AZ 85248
(480) 398-1776

This casual, local chain has been named the best sports bar in the Valley by AZCentral.com for the 25 to 30 flat screen HD TVs mounted throughout each restaurant and family-friendly atmosphere. Hang out in the bar, on the patio, or in the no-frills dining area where food is served in paper-lined plastic baskets. When the game breaks for commercials, you can play shuffleboard, billiards, darts, pool, or touch games like trivia. Zipps Sports Grill specializes in typical pub grub, including wings, chicken fingers, nachos, pizza, and burgers.

Ginger Monkey

135 W. Ocotillo Road
Chandler, AZ 85248
(480) 802-6659

Across the parking lot from Zipps Sports Grill’s Chandler location, the newly opened Ginger Monkey has a smartly decorated dining area, a bar area with several flat screen TVs and a pool table, and a dog-friendly patio with fire pits. The best seats for watching the action are at the bar, but you’ll be able to keep tabs on the games from anywhere inside or out. Come hungry because you’ll be tempted to try the loaded duck fat fries, Kung Pao calamari, meatloaf TV dinner, and other dishes once you get a look at the menu.

Good Time Charli’s

6045 W. Chandler Blvd.
Chandler, AZ 85226
(480) 556-1420
Everything about Good Time Charli’s lends itself to having not only a good time but a great time, especially if you’re a sports fan. The fun, “rustic steampunk” décor features brick walls and light fixtures made from empty booze bottles. From every seat, you’ll see a flat screen TV, including those on the pet-friendly patio. If you’re a diehard Final Four fan, settle in at the bar, where you can order draft beer, craft cocktails, and wines on tap. Pair your libations with gourmet appetizers such as seafood ceviche, green chile pork belly quesadilla, or a charcuterie board.
